Christopher Shays Baseball Historian?
Connecticut representative Christopher Shays-R considers himself a baseball fan. I'm not so sure...he made four really big mistakes during the baseball steroids hearings yesterday.
1)He called the Chicago White Sox 1919 "BlackSox Scandal" the "Blackhawks scandal"..The Blackhawks are Chicago's NHL team.
2)He mispronounced Rafael Palmeiro's name as Palmerry
3)He wondered if Palmeiro had tested positive before his 300th hit..3000 hits is considered the standard for a Hall-Of-Fame career
4)He mispronounced commissioner Bud Selig's name...now there are lots of names I have for Selig but I won't use them here:)
Shame I always sort of liked Shays...maybe he should fire his research staff..or hey even better watch some baseball games..and he should check out the movie "Eight Men Out"
